As a youngster many of my hobby class teachers taught me how to make lamp shades. They look graceful and always reflect the taste of the house owner. You could make a lamp shade at home with a cloth mounted on a metal frame. You could use paper craft material to make lamp shades and of course if you want to add that rich look to your home you can opt for glass lamp shades or chandelier lamp shades. To add that old world charm nothing like a Tiffany lamp shade and for that eclectic look with a taste for the unusual a drum lamp shade.

A Lamp shade, if not well designed and placed with the intent to just adding another object to the room, can look like that ordinary statue that you picked up at a sale. If well designed and placed with the color scheme and the setting of the room in mind it can look quite irresistible. Depending on your taste and sense of décor a lamp shade could look commonplace or a work of art.
